Commencing its existence and excellence as a small sampling of education, the Pathshala has now turned into a huge and gigantic tree of knowledge enlightenment imparting the quality and job oriented teachings through its four unit branches namely Shiv Charandas Kanhaiya Lal Inter College, Tagor, Public School, S.S. Khanna Girls Degree College and Naveen Shishu Vitika to the energetic and sound minded youths inviting and attracting the tender kids, pupils, students and scholars from every nook and corner of the district creating charm and attraction in the academic field for and wide.
The responsibility of the smooth functioning of the Sarswat Khatri Pathshala, popularly known and recognized as Shiv Charandas Kanhaiya Lal Inter college an honoured institution both in the Allahabad district and the state of UP, was basically transferred to the of Pt. Moon Narayan Sarswat , the first devoting teacher of the institution who later on received the honour of becoming Principal of this reputed Vidya Mandir, the holy abode of Mother Sarswati, Goddess of knowledge.
With the constant effort, co-operation and assistance of the other prominent and distinguished personalities of the society, the school along with the positive guideline of Lala Sadan Lal Khanna set itshelf on task of making progress day and night with an achievement of earning a recognition of junior high school in 1929 which later on stretched its arms towards perfections and became a successful high school institution in 1948 giving out in the society its first high school batch of progressive and successful students in 1950 under the competent devoting supervision of Mr. Radha Krishna Vahal, able and worthy manager who brought the academic revolution in the college. The institution was recognized as a full intermediate college with the faculty of arts in 1955 and again it was blessed with science faculty in 1960, the long awaited requirement of the area. Making a progress by leaps and bounds year to year, the college was given the formal recognition of commerce and computer classes in the year 2002.
This institution earned an new feather to is cap when Mr. Ankur Srivastava, student of the college, secured first position in Allahabad zone and 14th position in the entire UP state in the High School examination 2008 this year.
